Catching up

Here I go again!! I have been threatened (nicely btw) by my "website manager" aka Sarah Johnston, that if I don't start posting to my blog she is going to remove the link from my site...OK OK I get it!! LOL! Sooo, thus the...here I go again! I guess I have a lot of catching up to do!

This past year has been very busy. I had the normal flood of family photo shoots in the fall and I expect the same this year. Being a natural light photographer I tend to be busiest during the warmer milder months, and the fall season fits right into this category. I've been busy photographing weddings, mama belly's, newborns, children and more...I still haven't figured out which shoot is my favorite, although I have figured out which one is the easiest:) Over the next few weeks I will post some of my favorite images from last years sessions.

Now to my favorite part of the past year...Our family vacation! If you read my story, you know that I LOVE to TRAVEL and I LOVE being with Scott and our kids; it truly is the best part of my life. So of course, our vacation is my favorite part of last years activities.

Scott and I took the kids on a 2 week trip road trip to Bar Harbor Maine/NYC in October. We camped in Acadia National Park for one week, while celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary; let me just say it was an amazing trip and the views were breathtaking! We hiked A LOT, sea kayaked, talked with fisherman, ate lobster and blueberry pancakes and went searching for Moose and Harbor Seals. Next we went to NYC for a week; there we toured the Bethels, met new friends, ate NY Pizza, went to the MET and Museum of Natural History and of course, went to Times Square.
Here are some of the highlights:

First sign we had arrived in Maine

Sea Kayaking; we saw Bald Eagles, Sea Urchin, Star Fish and Porpoises.

Encounter with Lobster Fisherman...I think we ate him (the lobster, not the fisherman) for dinner the next night.

Downtown Bar Harbor at Night.

Our view every morning in Acadia.

River by Thunder Hole, the power of water is AMAZING!

Sunrise at the top of the mountain on our last day, BREATHTAKING!

Our hike up to Bubble Rock.

Brooklyn Bethel

Times Square

Our last night...dinner at the famous KATZ Deli!

And last but not least my favorite shot of the Brooklyn Bridge
